On Friday, the cryptocurrency markets were trading in a choppy manner. While BNB, Dogecoin, and Polkadot were trading with gains, Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Cardano were trading with cuts.
Ethereum (ETH) was trading below the 1,900 mark while Bitcoin (BTC) lost 1.1% to $29,820. BTC volume was over $15.1 billion, up 31.47% over the previous day.
The market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies was trading lower, down roughly $1.2 trillion and -0.91% over the previous day.
For a second day in a row, Bitcoin traded below the US$30,000 level due to a variety of causes, including investors taking profits and the stronger US dollar.
According to Edul, BTC is currently encountering immediate resistance at the US$30,000 level and support is located at the US$29,600 level.
DeFi presently accounts for $4.36 billion in total volume, or 11.8% of the 24-hour volume of the entire crypto market. Stablecoin volume as a whole is currently $33.4 billion, or 90.38% of the 24-hour volume of the whole crypto market.
The largest cryptocurrency in the world by market cap, Bitcoin, was valued at over $579 billion. According to CoinMarketCap, the market share of Bitcoin is currently 48.26%, a decline of 0.09% from the previous day.
With probable support at $28,900 if it breaks below $29,500, there is a considerable probability that Bitcoin will remain negative below $30,000 at this point.
